Empower Properties

We are here to help you every step of the way, and so we want to answer your questions as effectively as possible. We have compiled some of the most common questions we get asked by our customers.

If you have any other questions then please contact us, and we will reply as soon as possible.

 1. How does the process work? Where do I start?

Start by call us on 0114 3036628 or free on 0800 6 123 286, or by filling out the getting started form. One of our associates will then review your form and contact you within 24 hours. We then discuss all of your requirements and arrange to come and visit you and the property. Once you are satisfied with our service we will make you an offer to purchase your property.

2. How much will you purchase my property for?

We will offer you a 'list price' for your home which is typically between 70% and 75% of its bricks and mortar value. We realise though that every house is unique, so there are cases where we can even pay the full current market value.

As part of this offer we pay all of your selling costs, so that you receive every penny of the offer price. There are no Estate Agent fees, and we pay your solicitors' fees.

Additionally, by selling quickly you save on the additional mortgage payments that you would have to pay whilst listing and selling with an estate agent.

The bottom line is that we offer a rapid, professional service to allow you to unlock the equity tied up in your house, without the usual costs involved.

3. In what areas does Empower Properties buy houses?

We mainly operates in Sheffield and its surrounding area, but our local associates are positioned all over the UK and we are able to buy in almost all areas.

4. Does it matter what condition my property is in?

We buy properties irrespective of their condition. As you may understand, our offer price will partially reflect the condition of the property, but that is by no means the only thing we take into account.

5. How long does the whole process take and when do I receive the cash?

Within 48 hours after our initial contact, we strive to come and visit you and the property, and make an offer for the property.

If you accept our offer you can consider your house sold, and we usually complete the entire process in 6 weeks. However, we work to your requirements and strive to find the best possible solution for you.

6. What selling costs will I have to pay?

You don't pay any of the costs, we pay them all for you. The price we offer is the exact amount you will receive into your bank account.

7. I need to sell my house but I would like to continue to live there?

Unfortunately, under the new FSA regulation, we are unable to offer you to continue to live there.

8. Am I locked-in to selling my house once I have completed your form and asked for a valuation?

Until we have made an offer and you have agreed to it, there is never any obligation for you to do anything. You are not tied-in to anything.

Completing the online form is obligation-free and your details are kept completely confidential.

9. I have a repossession court-order in 4 days time, but I don't want to lose my house. How can you help me?

First of all, don't worry! Give us a call and we can talk to the courts and the lenders and get in many cases an extension - this gives you enough time to sell your house in time and pay off any debts you may owe.

10. How do I get started?

Start by providing us with the details of your situation in the Getting Started form. Alternatively, give us a call on 0114 303 6628 or free on 0800 612 3286 to discuss your requirements.
